In Mafia: Defnitive Edition, when Tommy picks up the revolver for the first time, he puts his finger directly on the trigger, while still aiming at Vincenzo. In later parts of the game, where he gains some experience in using firearms, he puts his finger next to the trigger, following the trigger discipline.
